NFR PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE

Every night—from Thursday, Dec. 4 through Saturday, Dec. 13—the top 15 contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding compete at the Thomas & Mack Center for their chance to be crowned world champion. The start time for each night’s perf is 6:45 p.m. Each performance of the Wrangler NFR is televised live on CBS Sports Network.

COWBOY CHRISTMAS

The full NFR experience requires a trip (or two or three) to the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show. With 400-plus exhibitors showcasing their wares at the 300,000-square-foot Las Vegas Convention Center’s North Halls, you’re sure to find whatever it is you’re looking for. The show features enough goods to keep even the most avid shopper entertained for 10 days. There’s jewelry, Western wear, boots, spurs, furniture, original art, handmade crafts, tack, and much more. It is also the best source for official Wrangler NFR and PRCA merchandise. 

There’s also plenty of entertainment. Throughout the day, the previous night’s NFR performance will play on big screens, and various celebrities and contestants will host autograph sessions.

Cowboy Christmas is open Thursday Dec. 4 through Saturday Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. 


RMEF HUNTER CHRISTMAS

Make sure to check out the brand new Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Hunter Christmas, going on Thursday, Dec. 4 through Sunday, Dec. 7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center’s Central Halls. Enjoy seminars from top hunting pros, the World Elk Calling Championship, and shopping for all your hunting and outfitting needs.

NFR AFTER DARK

The action isn’t just confined to the Thomas & Mack! All over Las Vegas, there are nightly tailgate happenings, concerts, award presentations, and after-parties. Win some cash, dance ’til you drop, and rub elbows with the who’s who of rodeo. In Vegas, the fun never stops. You’re sure to have a great time at any of the following events: 

Cowboy Corral

Dec. 4—13, 5 p.m. at the Cox Pavilion 

NFR ticket is required to access the Cowboy Corral Catch some of country music’s breakout stars at the Cowboy Corral! This year’s acts include Britt Stokes (Dec. 4–7) and Chancey Williams & The Younger Brothers Band (Dec. 8–13), performing before and after the rodeo action.

South Point Presents Ram Rodeo Tailgate 

Dec. 4–13, 5 p.m. at the South Point Grand Ballroom

Free admission 

This event features live viewing of the NFR, refreshments, and door prizes.

The Mirage Presents Rodeo Vegas 2014 

Dec. 4–13, 6:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. at the Mirage Race & Sports Book 

Free admission 

The official NFR after-party of the PRCA! Enjoy free concerts from county’s biggest stars, including Easton Corbin, Casey Donahew Band, and more. 

Gold Buckle Zone WNFR Event Celebration 

Dec. 4–13, 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. at the MGM Grand 

Free admission 

Celebrate with live bands, rowdy crowds, cowboy bars, and giveaways.

National Finals Tonight Show hosted by Don Gay, Joe Beaver, and Dan Miller 

Dec. 4–13, 10:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Gold Coast Showroom

Get a recap of the night’s performance with the best crew in town, and win prizes nightly!

Wrangler NFR Go-Round Buckle Presentations hosted by Flint Rasmussen and Randy Corley 

Dec. 4–12, 11 p.m. at the South Point Dance Hall

Expect laughs and tears as the night’s go-round winners pick up their buckles. This raucous event gives you some great insight into rodeo’s inner circle.

4th Annual Mechanical Bull Riding Competitions 

Dec. 5–13, 5 p.m. to midnight at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall

No entry fees

There’s $500 in cash and prizes on the line for the winner, and a payout for the top five!

Gary Leffew’s Legendary Buck’n Ball 

Dec. 5–13, 9 p.m. to “until the cows come home!” at the Arizona Ballroom in the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino 

Free admission 

Dance the night away to live music performed by Tony Marques and Tempered Steel Union.

SHUTTLE SCHEDULE

A free shuttle service to and from the Thomas & Mack Center runs each night for rodeo performances. The shuttle picks up from the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show (one-way route only) and every sponsor hotel, as well as the Tropicana. Pick up time to the rodeo is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and drop-off time after the event is 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
