PUEBLO, Colo.(March 26, 2010)- American Bucking Bull Inc. (ABBI) announced today that the non-profit United States Bucking Bull Association (USBBA) will be launching its own magazine to support the ever-expanding bucking bull industry.
“In the past, we had an outside company that produced the official magazine of the ABBI,” said general manager Andrea Lamoreaux. “We are now at a point that we feel we can best serve and promote the bucking bull industry and the ABBI breeders by producing a publication in-house.”
The new magazine will be called “The American Bucking Bull” and the first issue of the bi-monthly publication will be May/June. All ABBI and USBBA members will receive the new publication, as well as it being available at select retailers.
“The American Bucking Bull” will feature breeder and bull profiles, competition recaps, columns by industry experts, extensive Junior Breeder program (for youth members) coverage and much more. If you love the bulls, then this will be magazine that you won’t want to miss!
The non-profit USBBA supports education and outreach programs related to the sport and business of raising, breeding and bucking bulls as well as helping to fund the youth programs. “This new magazine is another way for us to support the future of our sport and assist in its continued growth,” said Lamoreaux.
Last year, the Junior Futurity program paid out over $40,000 to youth members (age 9-18) who competed at ABBI events. This year, the Junior Futurity Series will kick off June 5 in Ardmore, Okla.
Appropriately, “The American Bucking Bull” will debut at the annual Wild West Fest in Pueblo, Colo., which is home to the ABBI and PBR (Professional Bull Riders Inc.) The event runs May 14-16 and will include ABBI competitions, PBR performances and a variety of entertainment and community activities.
