so I'm late on the discussion, but it does seem like there is some mainstream recognition going on. And it's great, this is a part of the U.S.'s heritage and its a good thing for its modern day frontpage representatives to get some acknowledgement. I think its good for other sub-cultures in our country to get to see an aspect of life that is often times overlooked. Plus these are some pretty cool commercials.

I gotta say it's hard not to get sucked-in. While a few of 'em are bonafide superstars, there's a whole lotta authentic athletes out there. Like the vast majority of rodeo cowboys, they gotta work during the week to afford to compete on the weekends.
