"Ride" a song by COIN
Charles Danke — Wed, 2011-11-02 16:41
'Ride' is a song about rodeo: where hopes & dreams collide with angry, kicking, bucking, reality. 'Ride' tells the story of a cowboy who forgoes his rodeo dreams due to the demands of ranch life & family... but when things go south, sometimes dreams are the only hand left to play. The realism of ranching & rodeo in 'Ride' are pure Country, yet the song's timely theme & musical arrangement also give 'Ride' the potential to reach far beyond a Country audience. From the mountains, to the plains, to the windswept canyons of cities, 'Ride' like rodeo itself speaks both to those cowboys giving it their all, and to all who they inspire.
I don't make the sun, I don't make the rain -
I'm a man, tryin' to bust a horse, with his hand caught in the reign -
There's a time to bet, and there's a time to pray -
Squeeze those heels & ride what you can't change -
