A CHANGE IN POLITICS
Concretecowboy — Wed, 2010-01-20 16:32
By now most will have heard of the upset in Massachusetts and the democrats losing a seat they had held for over fortythree years. Of course, there will be political pundits spinning this every which way but loose. The bickering and actual hate that is splitting this nation for the last few decades will again raise it's ugly head. Democrats against republicans, liberals against conservatives! We are a nation divided.
What those of you divided need to see is that this election was not about the right or left. It was about voters wanting to know that they had a say and a control of their elected officials. I would hope that as the Boston Tea Party was a spark that ignited a nation to revolt against an enemy that had taken control of their lives, we will see the lesson of this upset. Let this be a new Boston Tea Party...
We will see that even in liberal country where this should not have happened, the voters are tired of the 'Poltical Industrial Complex' that controls our elections and politicians. We are tired and will not take it anymore - NEVER, NEVER VOTE FOR AN INCUMBENT!
The 'Political Industrial Complex' (any lobbyists, political party, union, big business, community activist that seeks control of elected officials) love career politicians and they will do everything to support and control them. That is the way they stay in power. There is almost nothing we can do to change this system. We, the average Joe taxpyer, are divided by the belief that by being right or left, by being conservative or liberal, we have a say in what our career politicians do. We are divided by the very industry that controls our politicians. It must stop - we, the taxpayer, are tired and will not take it anymore. Enough! The tax and spend, tax and spend by career politicians must stop. How?
There is one rallying cry. There is one thought and one shout that must arise above our division. We need to shout it to the heavens. Tell Aunt Harriet and Uncle Joe. Tell mom and dad. Get little sister to call your cousins. Get grandpa to take it to the barbershop and shout it on main street -- we are tired of it and will not take it anymore - the only way to end the control of our election by the 'Political Industrial Complex' is to stop the career politicians and that way is to -- now shout it out ---
NEVER, NEVER VOTE FOR AN INCUMBENT...

The Political Industry Wins Another One
Concretecowboy — Thu, 2010-01-21 14:39I just read that the US Supreme Court has struck down the law (laws) that keep big corporations from advertising for politicians (and some legislations). Very interesting as the Justices were siding on the liberal ideas of censorship but they are opening a Pandoras box in regards to allowing big, big money equal footing with individual voters rights.
I am not good at quoting the facts so you will need to look up the Court decision but it reinforces what I have been saying about we, the taxpayer and voter, not being in control of our elected officials. The 'Political Industrial Complex' has won a big one this time.
Please, do not take this into the divisive area that the political parties want you to be. One American against another. The 'Polirical Industry' strength is making you believe that your side is right and the other is wrong. We, the American voters, are all the same in this. It does not matter if you are republican or democrat - right or left - liberal or conservative. OUR governments belong to all of us - the American voter. We want what is best for our country and we want this plain and simple. We do NOT want an industry that is in it for the money of tax and spend, tax and spend -- And that is what the 'Political Industrial Complex' is in it for... The industry wants only the money. They want the bridges to nowhere, the jet vacations to the Bahamas, the jobs for their children and friends. They want the pork and freebies that career politicians give them... They are ALL the same in our elections - except the new guy - keep them ALL new - ALL the time -- NEVER, NEVER VOTE FOR AN INCUMBENT...
The idea of never voting for
nighthawksh — Thu, 2010-01-21 13:52The idea of never voting for an incumbent may be valid, but it will never work. I am the first to say I would never vote for a conservative. Period! I am just as sure most conservatives out there that would never, under any circumstances, vote for a liberal.
So, we are right back to square one. We have the best government money can buy (this applies regardless which party is in control)
But, in all honesty, I must also say, with all it's warts, we still have the best system in the world.
A change in politics/Things that make me happy?
Tom_Horn — Thu, 2010-01-21 05:38I didn't know which subject line to put this under.
The elitists that are in D.C. have discovered a problem. The American people have noticed that the annointed one is probably a bigger crook than we've seen in a while. Hard to believe isn't it? Well they got a nice kick in the caboose. I really hope that they get that kick in the backside more often, especially in November. My late Pappy used to say that a good hard kick in the caboose is still a step forward. Let's all get on our pointy toed boots and help these folks out. They'll be going by leaps and bounds if enough of us give them the needed motivation.
This is AMERICA, not France, England, Denmark or Sweden. Now we just need to get our hands on a couple and charge them with violation of their oath of office or treason and send them to Gitmo! If you vote to violate the U.S. Constitution or subvert the American way, YOU are the enemy. Don't close Gitmo, just rotate the occupants. I think ol' Fidel would enjoy having some more communists down there, don't you?
God Bless the USA

Good post!
proverbs31 — Fri, 2010-02-05 07:02I just was scanning the posts getting familiar with people. Found this post (Tom Horn), reading it for the first time. Your straight talk is exactly right! The "anointed one"; this description sends mixed emotions. Funny when used in the correct context, such as you have used it, sad because so many still look to him as a god. We need several David Crockets around!
