Here Comes Santa Claus...

Santa Claus
After years of being pushed...I finally caved in and became Santa this year. I never knew what a feeling it would give me being able to get close to the children and be Santa Claus for them.
It gave me a true feeling of the Christmas Spirit.

Christmas Prayer
So here's ol' Christmas comin' on, remindin' us again
Of Him whose comin' brought goodwill into the hearts of men
A cowboy ain't no preacher, Lord, but if You'll hear my prayer,
I'll ask as good as we have got for all men everywhere.
Don't let no hearts be bitter, Lord; don't let no child be cold.
Make easy beds for them that's sick, and them that's weak and old.

Crown Roast
You know Christmas is just around the corner so you need to get your Christmas Dinner planned. I know that turkey and ham are traditional...however; a crown roast recipe with diced apples, herbs, and dried cranberries stuffing is a great option for dinner.
Your butcher will do all the work in trimming and preparing the roast for you.

Homemade Turkey Soup

There wasn't much left of the turkey...so I had to pick up a couple of turkey drumsticks to make my soup.

Pumpkin Cheesecake with Ginger Snap Crust
I have never been big on the whole baking cakes and cookies...however, last year I thought I'd give it a shot.
I made a Pumpkin Cheesecake for Thanksgiving which calls for an encore appearance at Christmas.
Bourbon Sweet Potato Casserole

Bourbon Sweet Potato Casserole
This recipe has been handed down thru the family and has had a few "spins" on it over the years... The original recipe did have the mini marshmallow topping but has been replaced with a pecan topping. I think you'll like this version!
A bonus with this recipe is that it fills the house with the the aroma of the holidays...
