Up Next: Cowgirl Boots For My Bride!

last week I blogged about my experience buying cowboy boots for myself. It was an eye opener with both the wealth of knowledge I was able to get in addition to learning the true value of boots. I had no clue how much a quality pair could cost someone. Of course, once I got home and paraded my new pair of boots to my wife she just had to get some too! So off to the store we went.

Little did I know my wife had an interest in western boots but that the boot industry has an entire line dedicated to just women. I know, some may consider me sexist but I just never considered this. (Sorry ladies!) We started looking at boots at one of our local western stores just to get a feel of what my wife liked and what fit her appropriately. We had full intentions of ordering online as we've found in the past couple days that you can save a lot of money this way.

Once my wife started trying on boots we both realized that she was less interested in true western boots but more of a "show" boot that she could use as an accessory to her wordrobe. Fortunately this meant that faux leathers were an option that could save us hundreds of dollars.

Believe it or not I couldn't get her to pull the trigger on her first visit. So what we did was take her foot measurements. from there my wife went home and scoured the internet for hours. Instead of going back to the shop where I got my boots she ended up pulling the trigger online. I tend to like to support my local shops but I understand that the value can sometimes be too much to pass up when shopping online which was exactly what happened.

Now we are just waiting for her boots to arrive. I'll write another blog post once she gets them and tries them om. We'll see how buying online compares to purchasing directly from a store where you can try the boots on right away.
