I came to the cowboy way of life a little later than most. My life had fallen apart and I was about to become homeless. I had be grieving the death of my Mom who I had spent over a decade caring for and life just didn't seem worth livin' anymore. So, I grabbed a bottle of Jack Daniels and my 9mm and decided I was goin' out with a bang, literally! I was half-way through my bottle of liquid courage and ready to meet my fate, when I decided to turn on the t.v. I came across CMT (Country Music Television) and they were playin' a Chris Cagle video "Chicks Dig It" Well that little ditty by a man in a cowboy hat changed my life. The was just something about the song and the way Mr. Cagle carried himself that made me think that maybe things weren't so bad after all. I put down the gun and emptied the bottle down the sink. The next day I was in a local Best Buy, when I saw A DVD of Chris Cagle videos that I bought with the last ten bucks I had to my name. Soon after I did become homeless but that DVD was the one thing I held on to. As I studied more about him I discovered that Mr. Cagle was into the cowboy way of life and that opened up new doors for me. I discovered the cowboy way of life, adopted The Cowboy Code and found my way back to God , whom I had ventured away from for quite some time. And, who I have no doubt guided my hand on the remote control that fateful night in 2006. My life has truly been transformed by reconnecting With God and by embracing the cowboy lifestyle. I am grateful each month when I recieve the current issue of American Cowboy magazine it makes my day. So I want to thank God who made it all possible and Mr. Chris Cagle, if you ever read this I'm a CagleHead for life! Yeeehaww!
