Proud to know those who are Tough Enough to Wear Pink
JOSIEBETTERLEY — Fri, 2010-10-01 16:50
I know many who have been affected by Breast Cancer. Those who have contracted the deadly disease and continue to wage war on it as well as those who know someone close who battles on.
I am proud to know oh so many cowboys are are "Tough Enough to Wear Pink". Most recently exhibited at the San Bernardino County Sherrifs PRCA Rodeo in Glen Helen, CA. Saturday night was a sea of pink as far as the eye could see.
From the Sheriff of the County, Rod Hoops to the smallest of cowboys rooting on the clown, all were sporting their best "Pink" they had. These are hard core, men's men and I'm sure proud to have one of my own.
I'm sure the Boot Barns in the County were selling pink shirts and bandanas like hot cakes.
How great to see a small seed grow into a forest. Carry on the "Tough enough" campaign as much as you can in Oct as this is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Men, if you love your women, wear a bit of Pink or alot of Pink this month and let everyone know why you wear it. It may save someone's life.

Josie, Nicely put and wtg San
PrairieWylde — Tue, 2010-10-12 20:12Josie,
Nicely put and wtg San Bernardino County Sherriff's PRCA Rodeo!
Last Saturday was the third annual Turn and Burn for the Cure at our nearby arena in Kansas, with nearly 200 riders (men, women, boys, and girls) all sporting their finest pink duds, boots, saddles, hats, bandannas, etc. What a sight to see. All rode in honor of a cancer survivor or in memory of a loved one. Who said Pink was just for girls? There are a lot of TOUGH ones out there who look mighty fine in pink. Let's hope this dreaded disease is a thing of the past very soon.
*tipping my pink hat to those who are tough enough...
All's well on the prairie...
