Beautiful creatures through and through yet extremely dangerous. Why were these great beasts hunted nearly to extinction? Some say natural selection but I disagree. It isn't natural to SLAUGHTER a creature just for sport as many of the early pioneer did. Buffalo are great meat, on that I agree. And their thick hides are more than plenty to keep us warm. But I gotta admit, I'd do almost anything to see these gigantic herds roam the vast plains freely as they once did. One can only dream I reckon. Still, perhaps one day the great and mighty buffalo might spark a significant return and then that dream will come true. One can only imagine.
