Home Schooling
McLintock — Sat, 2010-01-30 07:17
Last night the family's I friends with had a presentation by their kid's. There were 7 presentations, and the youngest was 5 and the oldest was 11. They were more thought out than anything I ever saw in a young person, and the reason it was like that is these kids are home schooled. Now I know there is people who disagree with this, but when the parents are committed to it, it can not go wrong. Plus you do not have this mindless (left wing) government controlling what our kid's learn. You can teach them a "fair and balanced" education. In the couple years I have been around these family's I have seen that the kids are more thoughtful and just a whole more civilized. This is the way it was done back when, so lets take stock in the past and learn from them, because as I see it our government ran schools are sucking the life out of our kids and our bank account.

home schooling
flboots — Mon, 2010-02-08 18:31I agree with you McLintock, home schooling is the best, besides priviate, or schools run by church groups. Florida is near the bottom of the nation for education. The goverment school system is destroying america. We need to remove this tree hugger thinking and hold the kids responsible for their actions in school. I'll get off my soap box befor the sercret police come for me.
Ok we must have much
La_cowgirl21 — Sat, 2010-01-30 22:17Ok we must have much different public schools down here in Louisiana. You get a better education in the public schools than you would in a very prestigious private school around here. Around here if you go into the teaching profession its for the kids, definitely not for the money. I'm sure there are teachers in each school that would be better suited in a different profession. But there are many more teachers that are there because it is a calling to them. And to me that is definitely what teaching is...a calling, which is why I have been working to get my degree in teaching.

I agree with you. I have 10
olblue58 — Sat, 2010-01-30 07:53I agree with you. I have 10 grandkids.& of them are in public school. All i can say is what a waste! These kids arein overcrwded classrooms, and most of the teachers are "assembly line" teachers. They read from a book, and point to a chalkboard or a computer monitor. If I were able,I would home school everyone of them Todays school are a far cry from the schools were when I was in school. The teachers cared about the students and were always there to answer questions,or to help with a problem that you were having with that subject. For those of you who are home schooling,God bless you,and keep up the good job,I think your kids will be better in the long run
home-schooling
proverbs31 — Sat, 2010-01-30 11:43I believe home-schooling is the only way to prevent an educational decay in our great nation. Tests are dumbed down with the agenda to tell "what" people are to think, not "how" to think. If you are a Christian, your (the parent) instruction and desires are far limited, and several steps removed from direct control of the education, peers, how time is spent and other pressures involved. There are multiple levels of intermediaries in all direction, conflicting interests in various degrees, and insulating barriers of many sorts. As much as one tries to avoid such problems, this “necessary evil” comes forth from the classroom setting. The bond between you and your children will deteriorate before your eyes every day your children are left behind for many hours under a tutor’s supervision.
