Well now.....I've been retired now since the end of March. And I mean retired from not only my 40 hr a week job but also from the Air National Guard. I thought , oh yeah ! ...now I'll have enought time to do ALL the stuff that needs to get done on my place. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!

Who am I kidding ? I seem to actually get LESS done than before. I don't even ride as much as I used to. No sooner do I get caught up on mowing and tree trimming the 6 acres of pasture my horses are on than some damn thing around the barn goes wacky or then right after that , something around the house goes upside down or something in my small shop breaks or fence work needs doing or God forbid, WEEDING !!!!

Jeez , I mean really....the only fun thing I've done was in the beginning of June when some friends of mine who belong to the Ruritans in Camp Creek , Tennessee , asked me to be the ring master for a horse show they were having ! Since then it's been HOT , HUMID , and STORMY.

I keep telling myself that I'm going to get up at the crack of dawn , saddle up and go for early morning rides THEN start working on all the stuff around here , yep , that's what I keep telling myself . If only I could drag myself outa bed......
