Sometimes ya just gotta say something about saddle'n up early in the mornin' and headin'n out. This mornin'n was one of those.

Here in NE Tennessee I'm blessed to live snuggled up to the Appalacian Mtns. When I got up this morning the air was cool, the sky was an incredible blue with huge white clouds drifiting along at a snails pace and the land covered in the most intense green.

CherokeeSun and I headed for a small rise a short distance from my place and when we got to the top and paused the view was stunning. We could see all down the mountain range toward Newport
Tennessee and well into western N. Carolina. The Great Smoky Mtns were looming in the distance rising above my local mountains looking almost ominous with their presence.

From the rise we could look down to where my wife and I live on our small 6 acre patch of paradise. The Paint mare was was calling to CherokeeSun as she could see us on the crest of the rise; so I turned us toward home. Fifteen minutes later I had the saddle off and CherokeeSun brushed down...so now he could go roll and grunt and shake himself off. Next thing ya know he's grazing with the mare and all is good in East Tennessee.
