McKenzie Haley, Miss Rodeo America passes the Reins to this years winner, Mackenzie Carr, 2011 Miss Rodeo Oregon as she was crowned on December 10, 2011 at the conclusion of the week-long pageant held in Las Vegas, Nevada in conjunction with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
Mackenzie is the daughter of Alan and Barb Carr of Vernonia, Oregon. She grew up on a small farm in a rural timber community an hour from the Oregon coast. Mackenzie was a 2008 graduate and Valedictorian of Vernonia High School, as well as a nine year member of Columbia County Horse 4-H.
Continuing her involvement with the Columbia County Fair and Rodeo, Mackenzie served as one of the 2007 Columbia County Fair and Rodeo Princesses and Queen in 2008. In 2009, she went on to represent the Northwest Professional Rodeo Association as their Miss NPRA. In July 2010, Mackenzie was found vying for the prestigious title of Miss Rodeo Oregon. As Miss Rodeo Oregon 2011, Mackenzie traveled over 30,000 miles throughout Oregon, the United States, and Canada promoting the great state of Oregon and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
In her spare time she enjoys riding her horses, giving riding lessons to children, and spending time in the great outdoors. Mackenzie previously attended Oregon State University for two years studying Civil Engineering, and will be transferring to earn an Architectural degree, minoring in Speech Communications. She hopes to focus on interior architecture and commercial building design.
As Miss Rodeo America, she will be the ambassador promoting the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and America's Western heritage. As a liaison between the rodeo fans, Pro Rodeo producers, sponsors and contestants, Miss Rodeo America will travel extensively representing rodeo through many public appearances at rodeo performances, special events, schools and civic groups.

Third Runner Up Alyssa Morrison, Miss Rodeo Kansas
Forth Runner Up Kaycee McDaniel, Miss Rodeo New Mexico
Miss Oregon won Horsemanship, Personality, Appearance, Speech, Scrapbook and received the Raeana Wadhams Spirit Award. The written Test was tied between Miss Kansas and Miss New Mexico. Congeniality - Tennessee, Honorary Congeniality - Arkansas, Photogenics - Illinois, 5th runner up Miss Rodeo Idaho, 6th runner up Miss Rodeo Texas, 7th runner up Miss Rodeo Tennessee, 8th runner up Miss Rodeo Arizona and 9th runner up Miss Rodeo Oklahoma. The Chap Award was received by Jamie Udell, Miss Rodeo Utah and the People Choice Award received by Lauren Graham, Miss Rodeo Texas.
The Miss Rodeo America Pageant offers young women the opportunity to garner one of the richest experiences of their lives, while at the same time create solid foundations for their future endeavors. Lifelong friendships are made and many doors are opened—to all competitors, as well as the young lady selected to wear the coveted crown. Miss Rodeo America becomes a part of a great legacy...and part of history...yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
