Autumn Harvest - The Pumpkin Capital of the World
South Texas Cowboy — Mon, 2011-10-03 15:44

The canopy of shade shared through summer, her hues once green now orange and red. Each day her leaves fall slowly upon the ground. Harvest season is surely abound. While many poets seem to use the Autumn season in melancholy writings, Autumn is also a time to celebrate.

Parker Days Festival
tkevents — Fri, 2011-04-08 12:23
Parker Days has been a premier family event in Parker for more than 30 years. This signature event that is run by the Chamber of Commerce is a weekend full of fun for the entire family. Continuously there will be live music from the main stage that is enclosed in the food and beer gardens. The streets are lined with craft, art, commercial and home –based business vendors who will pass out free samples, showcase their wares, and provide demonstrations. There are two separate carnival areas; one for the older crowd that includes gut-wrenching and numerous spinning rides and another area that is pleasing to a younger crowd. The kid’s area includes bounce houses, a petting zoo, a stage with local talent and family entertainment. This year there is an addition of a Fast Draw competition, buskers performing throughout the festival grounds, a senior resting station, and a mommy changing and feeding area. Starting April 15, a limited number of discounted wristbands for the carnival rides will be available for purchase on-line. Please visit our website at: http://www.parkerdaysfestival.com for more information.
