RIDE For The HEART
South Texas Cowboy — Fri, 2011-09-16 22:22
American Heart Association Beach Ride
Most equestrians ride from the heart. There is a thrilling affection between horses and rider whether performing competition, working cattle, harness in the field or just seeking the weekend escape as one enters the realm of serenity while on horseback.

Quail Killer
My grandparents accomplished what many would call the American dream. They were nowhere near immigrants, they were hard working, blue collar Americans who strove to give their children more than they had. My grandfather, or D-Daddy as I called him, was a line worker at the local rubber factory. My grandmother, Mammajean, was a nurse at the local hospital.

Putting hand to horse for the first time
socalwild — Tue, 2010-06-15 19:28
Hi Sierra
I touched my horse for the first time today. Thats not exactly true. I have slapped her when she wasn't watching and fed her from my hand a time or two. But today she let me reach out and touch her. She is a 3 yo Mustang Mare I adopted a year or so ago. By the time I was finished with her I was rubbing and brushing her face, belly and hind quarters. What a rush.
