Llano, TX, - Western culture, heritage and art will again be the focus of an exciting series of events presented by the Llano County Historical Museum in Llano, Texas. “Western Trappings on The Llano,” a juried exhibition and sale, will be held October 18, 2014, through January 4, 2015 inside the Llano County Historical Museum. The 79 day event will feature the finest in original custom western trappings and gear along with original western art by internationally recognized western makers and artists. This family-friendly event is open to the public, and there is no admission fee. A fast paced and free, live auction of western art and custom gear, contributed by the participating artists, will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014.

The grand opening of “Western Trappings on The Llano” will be held on Heritage Weekend, October 18-20, 2014. A “Meet the Artists Reception and Preview” will be held on Friday, October 17. The purpose of “Western Trappings on The Llano” is to promote western culture and heritage, celebrating the artists whose work captures the grandeur and heritage of the American West. This unique collection of artists and their finest works, in a wide range of mediums, all in one location, will be a treasure trove for the distinctive western art buyer and/or collector. Artists’ mediums may include but are not limited to: silver, leather, paintings, bronze, sculpture, wood, metal, natural fiber, photography, and rawhide.

Many of last year’s participating artists will be returning to the exhibition and sale alongside some exciting new ones. In all seventy artist's will be represented in this incredible display of original works.
