I was curious as to your favorite maker of cowboy hats.

Choosing a hat is a very personal thing. You have your choice of materials, quality, brim, shape, color etc.

I love my hats. I have two favorite hats, one from Greeley Hat works and another from a J.W. Hats ( A local Utah Custom Hat maker.) I have others as well Resistol, Stetson, MHT but they are rarely worn

My hats are made to work in. They are dusty, droopy and mis-shaped. I feel naked without a hat on. If I could wear one in Church I would.

There are many great hats out there, I just wondered what makes you choose a hat and does the maker mater to you.

So what is your favorite hat brand?

Favorite Hats/Hat-makers

My favorites are:1.Biltmore , triple-felted w/un-dented crown (self)punched L.& R. with Texas stars for ventilation, flat-brim(You need to get a hat-press to keep that buckaroo/D.I. flat brim), & back of head strap, and 2. a fairly wide-brimmed Tilley hat that beats any straw, Panama, or canvas hat I have previously owned and worn for hot weather and even rain. (Both are Canadian manuf.)

Definatly Bronco Sue. I found them at the San Antone Stock Show ans Rodeo about 4 yrs ago and orderd a custom, it took almost 4 months to get it but it was worth it! best hat i ever wore, only brand of hat ill ever buy again!! Lookin to get one made now for my 2 1/2 yr old son.

Cowboy Hats

I like Master Hatters of Texas, I also wear a JB stetson &
a Biltmore made in Canada with about 30 years of wear on
it & still going strong also have a wrangler straw I don't mind if it comes off in the stall

I've worn Stetson, Resistol, and had a custom hat made by a guy in Brenham, TX. Been thinking about having another custom made though.

I'm not really into hat but I can say those

I'm not really into hat but I can say those types you guys have mention cost a couple of dollar and may cost me an installment loans if I'll be the one to buy one of those so I just settled using my uncle's hat whenever I go horseback riding in the farm. Good thing he has many of those so he hardly noticed whenever I sneak around his room and use one of his hat..:) but oh, it happens a year ago during our vacation at their place..;)
