I'd have to say my favorite is taking a whole ribeye, cutting it in inch thick steaks. Then on the grill with some grilled asapragus, maybe some shrimp, potatoes, and cornbread.
Oh yeah, and some ice cold dos equis'.
Howdy!
Galatians 2:20
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live ; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me

I'd have to say that a Good beef stew is chili are my favorite things to cook. I'm not talking about (ground beef chili with beans) I'm talking big chunks of meat for both stew and chili.
I like the stick to your ribs fill you up kind of meals. They can be cooked at home or in cow camp. I just love the smell of wood smoke and a pot of some good food.
Add a little cornbred cooded in the dutchy and I'm one happy cowboy.
You all made me hungry and I just left the table. Everything sounds good. Post your recipes.
Anything that includes Frybread and corn... and .. b u t t e r.. mmmm

Corn of the cob, but cooked in the husk. I have my special way of pulling the husk back, cleaning the corn, then season-butter and lay the husk back in place, then to the pit....

I'm new here, I suppose you oughta post about yourself and stuff, couldn't find no introduction section so excuse me for jumping in here.
I'm sick of hormell and mash, kinda tired of the whole thing. Been eating that for ages and for the last month straight. Bathroon stories sure come to mind, but not proper to be told here!
I got a million ways to fix the hormell if anybody wanna know. Also love cooking chilli, although the way I make it it's kinda spicy and some have said a heartburn machine.

Welcome! Do you use Tony's to season it up?

Finished the meal here not so long ago. Starving I was, that's for sure, but I'm hitting the brick wall here with this stuff.
Honestly, I don't use anything to season it up. I use my grampa's secret condiment. Hunger. You're hungry, you'll eat, or so he'd say. Sometimes I throw whatever I can find to try and make it different, but the secret about canned food is, no matter what you do to it, it'll taste the same! That's what I've come to find out.
I know there's some book or stuff out there to make those cans taste better just a mite, but I can't find them for the life of me. I looked at those recipes in the back but fat chance I'm gonna be fixing a casserole, I just don't know how to go about it.
It's not bad stuff, I reckon it's the eating the same stuff day it and day out that gets to you, although I'm known for eating the same stuff for years and actually enjoying it. Age I guess, finally got to me.

I must admit that I am a better consumer of good vittles than i am a preparer.
I do have the ambition of getting to be a better outdoor cook.
Use to be fair but just have not done any in decades.

I like cooking up a big fat cheeseburger. It's one of the only things I don't ruin when I cook and usually when I'm grillin up some burgers we've got friends or family together so it's that much better.

Hmm sounds good. I started off grilling stuff on a charcoal grill and ventured into the kitchen lol

Absolutely.
My favorite is a giant applewood smoked pork shoulder with apple vinegar mop sauce that takes an eternity to cook.
Jeff over at smoking-meat.com sends out a brilliant periodic newsletter I follow religiously detailing best smoking practices.
