I may be wrong, as I have been wrong before when it comes to thinking I know something. When I was a teen-ager girls at school would play up to me and asked if they could come over after school to ride our Horses and spend time with me. Being the usual Testosterone filled young man that all of us are at that age, I believed these beautiful young ladies. When they arrived, they would all seek out my older better looking Brother, leaving me hold the reins of my Horse and the ones of the other Horse they never intended to ride.
However, Mr. Steven Nelson commented in your April/May 2011 issue that John Wayne told Leo Gordon in McClintock, "I'm not going to hit you, Pilgrim."before he knocked him down the hill. I could be wrong again, but I believe that Mr. Wayne said, " You caused a lot of trouble today Pilgrim, and you could have got somebody killed. And somebody ought to belt you in the mouth. But I won't, I won't...The Hell I won't." Then the muddy fight ensued.
Like I said, I could be wrong and if so, please accept my apology Mr. Nelson Sir. Mr. Wayne used the word Pilgrim in many of his movies, so I kinda look at it that everybody is right.
