Need a Cowboy
I'm 26, female and originally from Scotland and I'm looking to get in touch with a real cowboy.
I live in London, I've always ridden english, I have a degree in Equine Science and now I'm at Vet school.
I want to get in touch with a real western horseman who I can hopefully be online friends with and learn from.
I'm not a girly girl and certainly don't go riding in pink jodhpurs and a frilly hat. I'm a tomboy at heart and love horses with character. If it kicks and bucks I'm more than likely to fall in love with it.
Behavioural issues are my speciality so exchanging training and breaking stories and tips would be great.
I want to exchange stories, learn about Western, debate the differences/pros and cons with western and english, learn about rodeo, learn about you.
My uni is AVMA accredited and it would be so much easier to learn and remember the US legislation etc in my course if I had someone to discuss and debate it all with.
I'm planning on applying to some vet clinics in the US to do my clinical training so if you can stand me we may be able to meet in the future.
If this sounds like something you would like to give a try please get in touch.
Reply here or send me a private message if interested.
Thanks, Hayley

Well, my Latin is a bit rough, but I believe Equus Somnium translates to Horse Dreamer, or something like that.. I'm from the heartland of the U.S., West Central Missouri. In addition to equines, I'm a fan of british cycles and cars. I still own a half dozen Triumph cycles of the 50s and 60s vintage, and a BSA, Norton, AJS, and some Hondas. I have a local friend here who's dad was born in Aberdeen. His name is Bill Alexander. He has his own Kilt....
I own horses, donkeys, and mules. I do some selective breeding, some trail riding, and I'm concentrating on training my guys to drive at this time. I'm kinda like the cowboy from the song, The lone cowboy from the Rio Grand. I don't expect you'll know that song though, 'cuz it's quite old. That's one of the things the younger generation misses. There's a lot of good stuff in the old Black & Whites....
Soooo, How can I help a fine young Scottish lass???
Kansas Jack
P.S. If this thread is in the wrong section I'm really sorry. Please tell me where to move it to or suggest some different sites where I can find my penpal
