Saddle Bag Essentials
When you go for a ride what are the items you absolutely must have in your saddle bags?
For example I take
-TP
-Jerky
-Water
-Binoculars
-Book of Mormon
-A bit of extra rope
-My fencing tool (if I remember it)
LA 200, Tysolin, Sulfa boluses, bolus gun, several syringes, extra needles, and in my old age, a little water in the summer. Can't seem to go 12 to 16 hours in the saddle without a drink like I used toSarees Online

I always cary a first ade kit I made up and keep it in a waterproof zip lock bag. I also carry a piece of leather thong and and extra curb chain. One other thing is a new smoke alarm battery and a fair size chunk of steel wool. ( I got ya scrathing your heads on this one lol). If those matches get wet and you need a fire short the batery out with some steel wool under some tinder. The steel wool will immediatly turn red hot and with a little tissue and fine tinder you have an instant fire. Also I carry an MRE or two. You can make 2 or 3 meals out of each one. The third is a little skimpy beacuse it's human nature to eat the good stuff first.

I believe it'd be common sense, you know, cause I don't think I have enough of it or so I got told.

Seems like y'all have the necessitys coverd pretty good. One thing that wasn't mentioned and that was a signaling device. There is one that most of us have with us all the time and take it for granted. Thats the back of tose big shiny belt buckels we wear. They work like a mirror. Keep em polished.

Staples, hammer, pen and paper, Antibiotics and a syringe, Binoculars, fence plyers. I never leave without rope and gun. Also in saddle I like to have medications and maybe pills incase I see an animal that need doctoring, I can rope it and doctor it on the spot. I always come across staples that need replacing.
