Tuff enough to ride through the pain...
Location
I know that there's a lot of rodeo cowboys that when they get injured, they sit out and heal up... Well thats for the guys that have a lil more money in their pockets and can afford to take time off. But for the other guys that are only gettin by a penny at a time to get from rodeo to rodeo, they can't afford to take time off for injuries... There's alot of guys out there that they can break severel bones or tear ligements or tendonds and will keep riding just to try and get money to keep goin. I myself have seen quite a few of these types of guys and I know that it's hard on them but at times its even harder on the people around them. One of the people that I know best that's done this is my dad. A retired rough stock rider, his favorite event out of bareback, saddle bronc, and bull riding, bull's where at the top of his list. Well in a bareback riding at a rodeo, he broke his riding arm. He went through getting it casted and everything and decided to try and ride with his opposite hand which ended somewhat successfully. Well I don't think that even a month later in another bareback event he broke his other arm. And again he went through gettin his arm casted and everything. Well cause he needed to keep riding to keep money coming home, he cut the cast off his riding arm and went back to riding again. That's always been in my mind and when I was little I always thought that he was really crazy for it. But now I look back at it and see what kind of guy that he was to keep up throught the pain to keep going. I know lots others like that but my dad's always stuck in my head and I can say that I get my strenght and tuffness from my dad cause he's sure enought tuff enought to ride throught the pain!
