I want to welcome all the new members to Missouri Mules. The weather is starting to break here in Missouri, and I'm getting anxious to start working with my mules and donks. I'm looking forward to train my senior mule, Willie, to drive this year. I'm going to start training my donk, Jacque B. Nimble, to drive this year also. Jacque will be 4 in April, while Willie will be 6 in June. Neither has driven before so I'm starting both of them on the basics of driving this year.

My 2 yearling mules, Francis and Bojangles, will start their basic training this year also. Being so young, I'm not going to be pushing them too hard yet. I'll just be working with them getting them used to responding to a bridle.

With Willie and Jacque, it's my intention to have both of them trained to compete in marathon driving competition for next year. Only time will tell how successful I'll be. I'm confident they're capable.
