The Trails End Arena sits on the first settlement in what is now Washington State.
It is now closed, bank owned, and boarded up. It is a unique equestrian facility with a long history.
Once it's gone, it will be gone forever. Our mission is to re open the Trails End Arena, the restaurant, the bar, and the boarding. To bring back barrel racing, rodeo, bull riding, concerts, and breed shows.
We wish to return the Trails End Arena to be the premier equestrian based multi purpose facility in the Northwest!

Trails End Arena
horsey55 — Tue, 2011-02-08 07:34Hello all.
There are many ways to protest the closing. Find out who owns the property. There is a petition site on line called Care2 Petitionsite where you can create your own petition and have as many people as possible sign and have it delivered to the owners. Show your support by having people who have used it or want to use it for it's original purpose. You would need to show support to the owners. Have concrete ideas such as shows, clinics, etc. Get listings of stables in the area and find out if they would come to the arena if it stays open. Ask for suggestions for usage from horse people but have definite ideas. Have horsefests, horse/horsepeople related fleamarkets. You have to be able to show whoever owns the property the advantages of keeping it as it is. Fight the good fight. Get out there. There's no charge to create your petition on Care2. Good Luck. Keep fighting.
Trails End
reinadelarosa — Thu, 2011-01-13 14:18I have so many good memories of Trails End. The restaurant made it such a fun place to show. The NWCHA Futurity used to be held there and I remember author Tom McGuane & his wife Laurie showing there. That arena has seen a lot of great horses and riders. It would be great to have another generation of horseman enjoy the facility and make memories for a lifetime. There are a many newer & fancier facilities, but Trails End really has heart & character.

socalwild — Mon, 2011-02-07 09:50Good luck. We have lost some great rodeo grounds in Southern California over the past 15 years and you wont ever get yours back once its gone. The one nearest my home is now a Home Depot and giant parking lot. Kinda Sucks. Good Luck
