Cowboy Carriage — Tue, 2011-03-01 11:34Hello,
Name's Ryan and I am from Central Oregon. I am president of the local Back Country Horsemen chapter, www.backcountryhorse.com, and I own Cowboy Carriage, www.cowboycarriage.us. I drive a team of percherons at kids events, festivals, give brewery tours and we have a Roberts Carriage for weddings. When it comes down to it I do not consider myself a cowboy. Those are some pretty big boots to fill. But I do try to conduct my business as a cowboy would with fairness and respect.
In my leisure time I like to ride into the Cascade Mountains or in the high desert of Central Oregon. It is an excellent place for horsemen to live. If you are ever in the area and want to go for a ride drop me a line.
Keep 'er in the holster,
Ryan

Desert Rat — Mon, 2010-11-01 09:56Well I wasn't born in Oregon but was more or less raised there. In the Willamet Vally. Around the Tigard area to be exact. Lived in Coose County for quite awhile where I worked for a cattle buyer out of Myrtel Point and chased cows from Powers to Agness. Some may be familliar with the Illahee Ranch up there in those moutains. Also used to make the rodeos at Yoncolla and St. Paul. The state just got to Liberal for me. It's a shame because it is one of the most beautifull states in the US. I'm back in Az. now and still in the mountains up here on the Mogollon Rim. But I have many fond memmories of that state and will always call it home.
