American Cowboy magazine is offering a series of online Western photo contests for amateur photographers (that's YOU!).  This is the first photo contest offered by American Cowboy. Prizes will include fine Western merchandise featured in the magazine.

Entries will be emailed only, selected entries will be posted on this site, and voting will determine a winner and runner up in each contest.  Entries and winners may be printed in upcoming issues of American Cowboy magazine.

Send photos to photo@americancowboy.com, with "AC photo contest" in the subject line. Emailing photographs for entry to this contest constitutes that you have read and agree to the rules below.

THE RULES:

• Amateurs only!
• One photo per email, up to 5 entries per person per contest theme.
• All photos become the property of American Cowboy magazine and may be used online or in print without compensation to the photographer.
• By entering the contest, the photographer acknowledges that any identifiable person (or the owner of an animal) in the photo has given his/her permission to be photographed and displayed online or in print by American Cowboy magazine.
• American Cowboy reserves the right to disqualify any entries in poor taste or not fitting with the theme of the contest.
• Various prizes will be awarded at the discretion of American Cowboy magazine.  Winners will be announced and contacted via email at the end of each contest.
