In my personal opinion
randi — Thu, 2011-10-13 21:54In my personal opinion Rooster Cogburn in true grit was the most compelling role. I also have a very old cowboy's tablecloths with me which was used many years ago.We should never underestimate cowboys because this type of rituals came from our own ancestor.

gingersome — Thu, 2011-09-22 04:53True Grit is a nice movie. It is about a drunken, hard-nosed U.S. Marshal and a Texas Ranger help a stubborn young woman track down her father's murderer in Indian territory. Rooster Cogburn rules! - Jonathon Budd

Comparison
DakotaSurfer — Tue, 2010-08-24 19:43The comparison is really unfair when you take an excellent war movie up against an excellent western. Two diffferent genres. All of Duke's movies were fantastic from The Big Trail to The Shootist and all the ones in-between. His legacy will live forever. We could use a few like him around today. My advice to American Cowboy is compare apples to apples not apples to oranges.

Galatians 2:20
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live ; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me
The Shootist
BruceB — Tue, 2010-08-31 23:10''The Shootist'' was the epic-tone of all the John Wayne movies. I fee that they highlighted his film career with this, his last movie.
