This celebration of the American Cowboy is a trail ride and family activities. First is a benefit trail ride for the 4-H Horse and Pony Club and Park public programming, beginning at 9a. Sponsorships for the trail ride are encouraged with minimum registration fee of $25 per horse and rider. There are prizes for the top sponsorship. Second is an afternoon of family activities. include learning how to saddle a horse, roping, horse shoe pitching, Cap Gun Fast Draw, and more. The special cowboy guest is author Mark Redmond, creator of the Arty Anderson western adventures. Redmond's presentation on the Culture of the American Cowboy is at 2p.
