CINCH Boyd Gaming Chute-Out at Orleans Arena

The third-annual CINCH Boyd Gaming Chute-Out will kick-off rodeo week Dec. 7-9 from 2 to 4 p.m. each day at the Orleans Arena. The action-packed three-day rodeo event will welcome some of the most recognizable faces in rodeo and a total of 64 top-ranked cowboys and cowgirls. Past, present, and future world champions will compete in a series of events, including Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. National Finals Tonight® Show at The Orleans

Now in its 11th year, the award-winning National Finals Tonight Show will return to The Orleans at 10:30 p.m., Dec. 7-16. Happening for the first time inside Bailiwick, the show will feature rodeo highlights, interviews, and question and answer sessions with the world’s leading cowboys and cowgirls. Bailiwick’s intimate setting will allow attendees to be where the excitement is and get up close and personal with their favorite rodeo stars.

Admission is free and prizes will be given away nightly. The wrap-up of each day’s WNFR events will be hosted by eight-time World Champion and Hall of Fame Cowboy Don Gay; World Champion Tie-Down Roper and all-around cowboy Joe Beaver; and TV host Dan Miller. There will be special appearances by legendary WNFR rodeo announcers Bob Tallman, Boyd Polhamus and many others. And, at 10 p.m. Dec 7-9, join early for the Boyd Gaming Chute-Out’s nightly go-round buckle ceremony presented by announcers, Bob Tallman and Roger Mooney.

The Legendary Buck’N Ball® at The Orleans

Also at The Orleans inside Bourbon Street Cabaret is Las Vegas’ best rodeo party after dark since 2010, the Legendary Buck’N Ball. The party, now in its seventh year, begins at 9 p.m. Dec. 7-16, and offers live country music, two-step dancing and drink specials. Guests must be 21 years or older and there is no cover charge.

Bob Tallman’s WNFR Charity Bowling Event at the Gold Coast

Bowling, celebrities, food and fun will once again be part of the Bob Tallman’s WNFR Charity Bowling Event on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 10:30 a.m. at the Gold Coast Bowling Center. The tournament, now in its 10th year, will benefit the Las Vegas chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities and the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. ALL IN BARREL RACE at Orleans Arena

Watch some of the top barrel racing competitors in the country during the action-packed ALL IN BARREL RACE at Orleans Arena, Dec. 10-12 (Race 1) and Dec. 15-17 (Race 2). The eight-day event will welcome contestants from as far away as Canada, Florida and Europe to compete for the guaranteed cash and prize payouts totaling more than $325,000. An American Rodeo Qualifier for Barrel Racing will be held on the final day of the event, Dec. 17. The event is free and open to the public. Exclusive Showings of “Floating Horses: The Life of Casey Tibbs” at The Orleans

The Orleans will host free and exclusive showings of “Floating Horses: The Life of Casey Tibbs” with special guest appearances from the film’s director Justin Koehler. The documentary tells the rags-to-riches story of American cowboy and nine-time World Champion Casey Tibbs, and dives in to the unpredictable journey following the development of the groundbreaking spurring lick that launched him into stardome. The four showings will be held in The Orleans Showroom on Dec. 7 and 9 at 10 a.m. and Dec. 14 and 16 at 2 p.m. The final two showings on Dec. 14 and 16 will be followed by 30-minute Q&A sessions with Koehler.

Cowboy Santa at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall

While visiting Sam’s Town during WNFR, be sure to experience the popular pioneer-themed Mystic Falls Park Light and Water Show, which transforms into an immersive winter wonderland experience with decorations beginning in the porte-cochère. Garland streams, wreath-adorned lamp posts, sculpture polar bears, mountains of poinsettias and white light and snow-covered trees will fill the atrium, along with the special holiday-themed laser light show. Sam’s Town will host the 15-minute laser light show every hour starting at 5 p.m. Also, be sure to visit Cowboy Santa in the Park’s gazebo. He will greet visitors on Thursdays and Fridays from 4 to 8:30 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 8:30 p.m. For more information, visit samstownlv.com.
