Kyle Rosfeld of Cody, Neb. spent most of his young life as a ranch hand. After years of hard work he felt too broken down to even pick up his children, and knew it was time for a change. While at a branding, a serendipitous encounter with a boot maker influenced Rosfeld to hang up his spurs and try his hand at crafting boots.

Now, using traditional construction methods and an old Singer sewing machine from 1896, Rosfeld creates custom, one-of-a-kind boots that vary in style from plain black ropers to wild colored buckaroos.

Though he has a brick and mortar store in Cody, Rosfeld has joined the ranks of Western craftsman that sell their wares on Etsy, an online marketplace for unique, custom, and handmade items.
