Since 1919, the Cody Stampede Rodeo has been held every summer. In its 95th year, the Cody Stampede is one of the longest-running professional rodeos in the country!
For 10 days, the world’s top cowboys and cowgirls head north to compete in the world’s richest tournament-style rodeo. Stick around after the rodeo for chuckwagon racing, world-class entertainment, and a nightly display of dazzling fireworks. In addition, there’s a carnival, cultural displays, and agricultural events.

SHERIDAN WYO RODEO
A major stop on the rodeo road, the Sheridan WYO Rodeo is a member of the Wrangler Million Dollar Silver Tour. In addition to the rodeo, make sure to catch the exciting World Champion Indian Relay Races!
The “Grandaddy of Colorado Rodeos” has been around for over a century. Celebrate the ranching legacy of the Rockies with a rodeo, 4-H activities, cowboy poetry, a barn dance, and a carnival.
WILL JAMES ROUNDUP
This spectacular ranch rodeo features events such as working ranch horse, big loop team roping, ranch bronc riding, an Indian Relay, and women’s steer roping. This event helps raise funds for maintenance and repair of the Will James cabins.

NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL FINALS RODEO
Rock Springs, Wyo.
The “World’s Largest Rodeo,” the National High School Finals rodeo attracts approximately 1,500 contestants, who compete for national titles, prizes, and college scholarships.
CALIFORNIA RODEO SALINAS
Known in the rodeo world for its long scores in the grueling team roping (which makes for some wild runs), California Rodeo Salinas is one of the Top 20 professional rodeos in the United States and the largest in California.
CHEYENNE FRONTIER DAYS
Known for its fast pace and large number of contestants, this action-packed rodeo truly is the “Daddy of ’em All.” Frontier Nights and Frontier Park offer up dancing, top country music performers, Western crafts and gear, a carnival, and the Indian Village.
GRAND ENCAMPMENT COWBOY GATHERING
Preserve and promote the cowboy way of life with chuckwagon breakfasts, yodeling workshops, historic building tours, campfire jam sessions, and a cowboy poetry and music show. Test out your own singing chops at the open mic night!
NATIONAL LITTLE BRITCHES FINALS RODEO
Cheer on the next generation of rodeo stars! Nearly 1,000 contestants, ages 5–18, will face off at the season-ending finals.
DAYS OF ’76 RODEO
Held in storied Deadwood, the Days of ’76 Rodeo is a 13-time winner of the Badlands Circuit Rodeo of the Year Award and was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2011. Make sure to visit the Days of ’76 Museum, which is filled with Old West, pioneer, and American Indian artifacts, archives, and photographs.
COEUR D’ALENE ART AUCTION
In 2013, the Coeur d’Alene Art Auction sold more than $30 million worth of classic Western and American art. The largest auction house specializing in Western artwork, the auction holds over 160 world record prices.
